We started because everyone kept saying no.
Che Mate began the way most useful small businesses do: people kept asking for something nobody would give them. A single item collected. A wardrobe built today. A one-room move no removalist would quote on without a half-day minimum.
Five years on, that's still the whole business — two of us, one van, and a genuine willingness to take the awkward job. Two people who know how each other works beat a rotating crew of subcontractors, and you deal with the same faces every time.
The name comes from che pibe, the way you get someone's attention in Argentina, crossed with the way you do it here — give us a shout, we'll sort it out. Blue and white are the Argentine flag, where the owner's from. The logo is a drill, a hand truck and a smiley face — a fair summary of the business. On social we introduce ourselves as "Moving your FU-rni-TURE".
